EnvyUpdate is a small program open source available only on Windows. The latter is able to automatically detect the type of graphics card that is installed in your computer. If your PC does not have an NVIDIA graphics card, EnvyUpdate will notify you before shutting down. Conversely, if you have an NVIDIA GPU, you will be automatically notified when a driver update is available.

EnvyUpdate runs in the background and is placed in the system tray. In other words, it regularly checks the NVIDIA website to see if an update is available. When it detects a newer NVIDIA driver update, it will show you a notification.

From its graphical interface, two options are available to you: automatic start (autostart) and installation (install). The “autostart” option allows the program to start automatically when Windows starts up. And the option “install” allows to install the configuration of the program on your local disk.

Once an update for your GPU is available, EnvyUpdate will take you directly to the official NVIDIA website where you can download the latest drivers for your graphics card. Note that you can also click on the green download button to do the same.
